I found these candy canes in my local sweet shop. They are usually hard to get of nearer to Christmas so I snaffled some up to hang on the Christmas tree when it eventually goes up in December which is not all that far away...
I made Rudolph Reindeer using various Stampin Up punches. The antlers are cut from one of the leaf dies in the Flower Fair framelits and the ears from a retired punch but you could use the oval punch and shape them.
It's a really easy box to put together. Cut your card at 10 x 3½ inches and score at ½ inch down each of the long sides and then rotate the card and score at 4¾ and 5¼ inches.
Have a great weekend x
How do you fasten the candy cane to the box?
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, you could either attach them with glue dots or if you wanted something a little bit stronger, then use some double sided tape.
DeleteI thought I saw further instruction on how to make the box but don't now. How did you make the top of the box and did you have to cut or make tabs at the bottom? This is super cute and I'm making them to give my co-workers!
ReplyDeleteHi Kharen, I have put a photo of the candy cane holder template onto the post now. Thank you for your comment and I hope your co-workers their treats!! x
ReplyDeleteThank you! I realized after I sent you the comment that the top was open....duh.
