Bear & Easter Bunny Gift Boxes With Tutorial

I had a play with my Stampin' Up! crafting stash over the weekend and came up with these two gift boxes - a bear and a bunny.  I think they are so cute and I know my niece would love the bear one particularly!!

The boxes are fairly large and measure 4" x 2½" and are very simple to make.

Cut a piece of card 7.5" x 6.5".  Score on the LONG SIDE at ½", 1.5", 4" & 5".
Score on the SHORT SIDE at 1", 5" & 6".

Cut out the shaded areas shown below

...so it should look like this...

Use a bone folder to crease the score lines well & cut as shown.
Place the double sided tape (or any strong adhesive) on the flaps as shown.

To make the ears for the bear use the 1⅜" circle punch and cut a slit up to the middle.  For the bunny ears I used the Large Oval Punch, again cutting a small slit (not all the way to the middle) and then place strong adhesive where shown and overlap the other part on top to form an ear.  Use a strong adhesive to stick the ears to the top of the box such as red double sided tape.

I sponged ink on the ears with a dauber.  The noses on the bear and bunny were punched out with 1⅜" circle punch and again sponged.  I used a black pen to draw the nostrils etc. and the eyes were punched out from the Owl Builder punch.

I hope you like them and found the tutorial easy to understand.
