Here in Buxton we have had so much over the last week & yesterday I finally decided that I ought to try and dig the car out. I watched my neighbours dig theirs out on Saturday but hoped that overnight the snow might have melted but it didn't!! It took me over an hour to clear the snow away!! Phew!
Anyway I decided to have a crafty weekend and have come up with what I call a 'Split Box' that is big enough to hold a yummy cupcake. There were lots of prototypes littering my craft room floor. Maths is not one of my strong points and I was trying to work out how to make them different sizes..my brain finally clicked and here is the result.
This box measures 3" x 3" and is more than big enough to hold this cupcake. Once you remove the belly band the box can be split open like this..........
I made a little stand for the cupcake to sit on inside the box and as you can see there is room for a much larger cupcake or muffin.
I used Very Vanilla card and used some paper from the Gold Soiree Speciality Designer Series Paper pack. I used the 'Hello Cupcake' sentiment from the Num-Num stamp set and I made a bow with the Bow Builder Punch. The little heart is from the Owl Punch and I also used the Decorative Label Punch. The ribbon is FREE (and comes in a pack of 3) with every purchase of £45 from the Sale-A-Bration promotion. See the catalogue on the right side of my blog.
I would have given this to my husband but as he is away working at the moment I shall give this one to a friend and eat the other one myself (they came in a pack of 2).
I've made another smaller cupcake box for tomorrow's post. Hope you like it. I shall try and get instructions on how to make these boxes posted on my blog by the end of the week....hopefully!!
