I bought the Aqua Painters a while ago now and when I tried them out for the first I didn't get very good results but I decided to get them out and have another go with them and now love them! This Watercolour Heart Card was created using them and I CASE'd the technique (without the masking gum) from the very talented Kristina at Kwerner Design
I used three colours, Pink Pirouette, Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Delight. I lightly drew a heart in pencil using the large heart die from Hearts a Flutter. First of all I used the aqua painter to make the inside of the heart slightly wet and then I put a couple of drops of the re-inkers in the lid of each of the ink pads and used the aqua painter to pick up the colour and put it carefully inside the pencil line.
I love this technique and made another watercolour card below but this time trying not to get the ink over the pencil line as I found it difficult to rub it out once the ink had dried...as you can just about see above although it gives it a bit of a three dimensional look to it (unintentionally). I LOVE that sentiment and the font Stampin' Up! have used....it's from the Hello Life stamp set in the sale-a-bration cattie which you can get for free with a qualifying purchase.
I hand drew the black line around the edge & I used some 'splodges' from Gorgeous Grunge but I'm not sure now if I preferred it before I 'splodged'!!
