Pool Party Congratulations Card

Pool Party is one of my favourite of the blues that Stampin' Up! have in their current colour range and when I first had the idea for this card I intended trying to do it all in Pool Party onto Whisper White but although it looked good in those two colours I still wanted to inject a bit of colour so I added the Hello Honey ribbon from Best Year Ever Accessory Pack and then some Moonlight DSP.

I am determined though to use just one colour to make a card...watch this space!

Crumb Cake & Orange Lidded Box

A while ago I was given a box of Mandarin & Bergamot Bath Salts which were made by a local company Wild Olive.  I kept the box long after I had finished the salts as I loved the colours and design.  So today I have copied the box using Stampin' Up! products - of course and the colours of Crumb Cake and Pumpkin Pie.

This is the box from Wild Olive that I was copying....I think the colours are an almost perfect match.
I have listed all the products used to make this box below.  The finished box measures approximately 3.5 tall x 3 inches wide and uses a 12x12 inch piece of cardstock to get the box this large.

Slightly Tipsy Easter Chick Card

My card today features a tipsy Easter chick.   I decided to have a go at hand drawing the chick by and used a black micron pen and then I cut him out.  I sponged him with ink to give a three dimensional look and then popped him up on dimensionals.
After I had put him on the front of the card I decided that he looked a bit wobbly as if he had been drinking too many Easter chocolate liqueurs!!

A very simple but quick card...I like those!!

I also made a matching envelope liner using Painted Blooms Designer Paper

Exploding Handbag Box

I saw this Exploding Handbag Box with tutorial by Liz Walker on Splitcoast Stampers and thought I would give it a try.  It is just the right size to put a Ritter Sport bar of chocolate inside as a gift.

There are lots of exploding boxes out there but this is a different take and was very cleverly designed by Liz.

And this is what it looks like inside..............

I used a little white peg on one side of the flap to keep it closed.  I did try some magnets but they were too strong and made it difficult to open.  Liz suggests using some Velcro on the flap but I didn't have any but a peg works just as well.
My husband came up while I was making this and saw the chocolate and as he is a chocaholic and if by chance he reads this post...HANDS OFF..THE CHOCOLATE IS MINE!!!
