Bubble Talk

Hi there.  Today I am using WPlus9 Bubble Talk stamps and Hey, Hi, Hello dies to create today's card.  It only involved a little bit of copic colouring of the elephant which always takes me a while as I am still trying to get used to highlighting shadows etc.

I cut out the white layer using My Favourite Things Cross Stitch Rectangle Stax Die-namic and that was layered onto some patterned paper from Stampin' Up! 'Stacked With Love'.  This was then mounted to a card base cut from Crisp Canteloupe again from Stampin' Up!

I hope you have a great Bank Holiday weekend.  I am going to stay with my sister in Oxford as it's my niece's birthday and we are having a BBQ on the Sunday so it's bound to rain!!!!!!!!!  And then my husband gets back from 7 weeks being away in the Arctic on Monday so I might be missing a blog post for a few days next week. :-)

Hello Hello Hello Sunshine

Hello peeps.  Today's card uses a combination of WPlus9 and Mama Elephant stamps and dies to make a Hello Sunshine card.

W Plus 9 Hello Sunshine stamps and Hey Hi Hello Dies

I started off by using WPlus9 Hey, Hi, Hello dies to cut three 'Hellos' out of Stampin' Up! Cardstock in Pool Party, Pink Pirouette and Daffodil Delight.  I then popped out the die cut letters and swapped them into a different coloured speech bubble.  I layered these on top of some Paper Mill Direct White Hammered Card which was die cut using one of the Mama Elephant Landscape Trio Creative Cut dies.  I stamped the sunshine in SU Daffodil Delight Ink and also the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink using WPlus9 Sending Sunshine stamp set and mounted it all onto the card base.

I really like how this card turned out which was not far off what I had planned in the first place which is unusual for me!!

Back on Friday with another card make.

Avery Elle - Let it Snow

Hello.  I have got two cards that I made today using the same stamp set- Avery Elle Let it Snow.  I love the cute little birdies that come in the set & on the first card I had them sitting on a wire.  The sentiment 'celebrate' is from Paper Smooches Scripty Sayings.  The sentiment wasn't long enough to go all the way across the card so I had to extend it using a black pen which was slightly thicker than the sentiment (oops) but you can't really see unless you are looking for it!  I coloured the birds with copic markers and because I didn't use my usual colouring card for copics, they bled a little but I managed to 'touch' them up a bit in Photoshop!!

Avery Elle Let it Snow stamps

On the 2nd card I again used Let it Snow but used a sentiment from Hero Arts Anytime Messages.   The whizzy flying lines are from Mama Elephant No Peeking I remembered to use the right card this time so my copics didn't bleed!  I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink from Ranger to add a little bit of sky.

Mama Elephant - Arctic Penguins

Do you think it is too early to start thinking about Christmas?  I definitely do,
but when I saw the Arctic Penguins set by Mama Elephant I had to have it.

Mama Elephant Arctic Penguins stamps and dies

I had a go at using some distress and pigment inks to create a sky background...still working on that technique but I'll get there.  I then used Heat and Stick powder from Stampin' Up! to stamp some stars on the sky and heated it with my heat tool to make it sticky so that I could then sprinkle some Dazzling Diamonds by SU on top and again used my heat tool to set it.

Mama Elephant Arctic Penguins stamps and dies

I then used Paper Mill Direct's Hammered White Card (which is really good for stamping on as well) and gives the card some texture for the top layer. I die cut a circle and also the Noel sentiment which again is a die from SU making sure to keep the little pieces that fall out of the die when you take the word out.

I coloured the word Noel with a Copic Marker and then stuck the card with the sky on behind the top layer making sure I put some glue down on the bottom to hold the sentiment in place when I popped the word back in.

Hope you like it.  All supplies used to make this card are listed below.

Waltzing Mouse - Big Berries Strawberry

Hi there.  For today's post I have used Waltzing Mouse Big Berry Strawberry stamps to create a thank you card.  I've had this set for a while but as I have been sorting out my stamp sets, I am rediscovering ones that I had forgotten about.  Also, when I was a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I wasn't allowed to promote other brands so a whole new world has opened up for me to blog about.

This was a very quick and easy card to make apart from the cutting out of the strawberry and leaf and I have listed the items used below.

Ice Lolly Party Invitations

Hello again.  Today is another project made using cut files from Lettering Delights.  I saw the 'Peepsicles' files and apart from thinking they would make good gift card holders, it would be good fun to use them to make a party invitation.

I made 2 invitations using the Panda and Bear as I thought they looked the cutest.

Lettering Delights Peepsicles
I used the cut files that came with the pack and then I created another file so that I could make them open up like a card using the print and cut on the Cameo. and then finished by sticking them together and sandwiching the lolly stick in-between.

Lettering Delights - Cut Files

Hi there.  Today's post is a no stamping or inking project.  One of my favourite tools is my Silhouette Cameo which I bought when they first came out and I have used it LOADS for all sorts of projects.

When I first started learning how to use my Cameo I came across the amazingly creative Jin Yong of Under A Cherry Tree.  Her blog led me to find Lettering Delights who sell graphics and cut files that can be used on the Cameo.  I use LD files a LOT and they are always coming out with new files so I highly recommend them.

Today's card uses one of LD's files - Giggles.

I made a shaped card which I cut with my cameo & then added the layered shapes on top.  I also created an extra layer of blue card to sit them on just to make it pop out a bit.

I used Glossy Accents to make the cherry look nice and juicy.

If you haven't visited the Lettering Delights website before then it can be a bit confusing.  They sell just the graphic sets (GS) or you can buy the Cut Sets (CS) which is what I have used today.  There are also Cut Projects (CP), Alphabets (AL), Paper Packs (PP) and also fonts.

I have put links below on the items I have used today.

I have also uploaded some stamps that I am selling to clear out my craft room and they can be found by clicking HERE or by going to the 'STAMPS FOR SALE button on the right hand side of my blog.

Mama Elephant - Honey Bunny

Hello there.  I've been having a bit of a tidy up in my craft room and found stamp sets I had forgotten about so I shall be using some of those in some future posts.

This particular stamp set by Mama Elephant called Honey Bunny is one that I used on all of my niece's wedding invitations and favours etc.  It's one of my favourites as I think it is so cute!

There are matching dies that you can buy to go with the stamp set which makes it easy to cut those bunnies out.

Clearly Besotted - Let's Roll

Hello peeps.  Today I have used another stamp set from Clearly Besotted called 'Let's Roll'.  When I first saw it I wanted it instantly as I love hedgehogs.  I am trying to encourage them to come to our garden where there is a ginormous supply of slugs that eat EVERYTHING!!

Clearly Besotted Let's Roll stamps and matching dies

There are 3 cute hedgehogs in the set along with some sweet sentiments and there are also some matching dies which I bought as I'm not great with fussy cutting.  I used a sentiment from Paper Smooches 'Scripty Sayings' and the grass and clouds were cut out using Mama Elephant Landscape Trio dies.

I wanted to make a card I could give to a male in my family who has an upcoming birthday and didn't want it too cutesie pie.

I hope it puts a smile on his face when he receives it.

Clearly Besotted - Feeling Sheepish 2

Hello and welcome back.  Today I have used the Clearly Besotted 'Feeling Sheepish' stamp set again to make a little gift box to match the card I posted on Monday here.

I wanted to make a milk carton and I usually cut these out on my Silhouette Cameo but as I was in a hurry I used a retired Stampin' Up small milk carton die.

Clearly Besotted Feeling Sheepish Gift Box

I've got a few Copic markers and used them to colour in the sheep (the grey doesn't show up in these photos but I did colour the sheep...honest!) and grass.  Although I struggle with the direction of light and shadows principle, I still enjoy using them.

Have a great weekend and I will be back on Monday.

Coffee Gift Card Holder

For today's post I wanted to make a Coffee Gift Card Holder using some stamps and dies that I bought from Make The Day Special, who, if you have not heard of them before, are a UK based online store that import a lot of stamps, dies & craft supplies from the US, thus saving us stampers a lot of time and money ordering from lots of different shops in the US.  They are now one of my go to stores for crafting goodies!

Gift Card Holder

I used MFT Cross Stitch Rectangle dies to cut out the top two layers and the MFT Gift Card Grooves die to cut the slit inside of which you put your gift card although because I didn't have one to hand I used my very well worn Costa Club Card so you can see how it would fit.

Gift Card Holder

The sentiment and coffee cup is from L'il inker designs and is called Coffee Talk.  I used Copic Markers to colour in the cup.

Fresh Start Monday...

It's Monday...it's a new month and I am back to blogging after a LONG break!  I've hardly done any crafting during that time as there has been lots of things going on but I spent Sunday playing with all my new stamps and dies instead of getting the hallway ready for decorating.  It wasn't a hard choice...crafting or painting?!!!

For today's project I used a set of stamps from Clearly Besotted, a company who I have only just discovered and whose stamps I LOVE!!  The company is run by Stephanie Wincott and if you haven't checked out her blog, Stamping and Sharing, you should...it is full of brilliant inspiration.

The stamp set is called 'Feeling Sheepish' and there are matching dies to go with it.

Clearly Besotted Feeling Sheepish stamp set and dies

I wanted to make a card that made me smile and these cheeky sheep peeping out of the holes did just that!

I found the best way to get the sheep in the right position was to stick them to the top white card layer rather than the card base.

I hope you like today's card. It's good to be back!
