Kikki K meets the Happy Planner

Kikki K meets Happy Planner

For the past year I have been using a planner that I bought from Plum Paper Designs on Etsy.  I have been really happy with it.  The quality is very good and I like the thicker paper it is printed on but as it is nearly full I have been looking at other planners that are available.

I  only heard about Kikki K planners this Summer and I know some of you might wonder if I have been visiting another planet for a couple of years but since I visited the Kikki K website I have been drooling over their large leather planners.  Making the decision to order one has taken me all this time as I was worried that the customs fees/postage would be too prohibitive.

Well I finally took the plunge and ordered the Perforated Leather Personal Planner Large: Peach it arrived in just over a week and amazingly there were NO custom fees and NO additional postage so it worked out cheaper than buying a similar large Filofax in the UK.
I didn't order the diary refills as I wanted to use the pages from a Create 365 Happy Planner that I had also purchased recently.

I got it at an amazing deal (no longer available) of £14.50 from Amazon UK.  It came all the way from the States and it was a lot cheaper than buying one from here in the UK and again I didn't pay customs fees.  I love the layout of the Happy Planners but didn't want the disc bound system so I decided to take mine apart (eek!) and fit it inside the Kikki K.  This is what it looks like...

In order to fit the pages of the Happy Planner inside, I had to cut them down to size but only slightly.  I cut off the punched holes first and a small strip from the bottom and then I eventually worked out how to punch the 6 holes with my Cinch so they would fit inside the Kikki K.

This is the inside front cover which has got the note pads that came with the Kikki K planner and also there is a larger notepad at the back.  The Sticky Notes are by Mambi Create 365 and you can purchase them HERE

And this is what it looks like when it is closed.  I have also made my own planner stickers with my Silhouette Cameo which I will show you in a later blog post.

  1. Lovely! I am having a total dither atm about what to have for next year. I really like the Simple Stories Carpe Diem range but if I don't make my mind up soon it will sell out and I won't have it in time for Christmas.
