3D Baby Card

As part of the Papermilldirect Design Team I had to make a card for a baby using their lovely Mustard Yellow card which is on offer all this week.
I was searching the internet for inspiration and found a 3D card for sale which I instantly wanted to try and re-create using my Silhouette Cameo.  The card had the baby's name and date of birth printed on it but because I was using yellow card I felt it had to be neutral so made it as a general 'welcome baby' card.
I apologise for the poor quality of lighting in my photo but I had to dismantle the table I use for taking photos before Christmas to make room for everything!  We have had some dark and gloomy weather just lately and not ideal for taking photos.
I created the cut file using the Silhouette software and printed the word 'Congratulations' onto some of Papermilldirect's White Linen card which is thick enough for this project, and then cut it out.
I then had to make sure that the bird on the branch balanced on top of the tree after cutting a slit in the top of the trunk.  I attached the string to the beak & 'BABY' using glue dots.

I created a stand that I affixed to the rear of the tree so the whole thing doesn't fall over and the great thing is that it all folds down flat so it can be posted in an envelope.

My mind is now whizzing with ideas of what other 3D cards I could create!!
Hope you like it.  I have listed the products used to make today's card below with links to where you can buy them.
