Hi there. For today's post I have made a valentine card using Lettering Delights Squawk Box Cut Set using my Silhouette Cameo. I thought he would make a cute card and although you can buy 'Squawk Box Cards' which are printable cards and don't necessarily need a cutting machine to cut out, I wanted to make my bear layered out of card to give him a dimensional look.
I made the cut file the size I wanted in Silhouette Studio and then duplicated the shape, flipped it horizontally and welded them together to create the card base. I then cut the bear out of Papermilldirect Mocha Brown and Baby Pink card and glued all the bits together. The glitter heart was cut freehand out of some red glitter card.
I used foam dimensionals on the arms and heart and the sentiment is from a stamp set by Stampin' Up! called Itty Bitty Banners which I don't think is available any longer but the dies that went with the set are still available to purchase (link below).
I printed out the sentiment for the inside of the card using the same cut set from Lettering Delights.
If my husband doesn't read this on my blog (and I will know because he always comments when he does) then I will give him the card, otherwise I will have to save it for next year by which time he will have forgotten about it!!!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and have a great weekend wherever you are in the world.
