Build-able Bouquet - My Favorite Things

Today's card is one I have made as part of the Papermilldirect Design Team for their blog Inspire

I have got to admit I am totally hooked on watercolouring ever since I got my Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.  I've been having such fun splashing water everywhere and making a total mess in my craft room but here is my latest attempt......

I started off with some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock.  I like this card as it is smooth one side and textured on the other.  I used the smooth side and stamped some flowers and leaves from one of my recent purchases by My Favorite Things, 'Build-able Bouquet' using Versamark Ink.  I then heat embossed them with white embossing powder.
I wanted lots of bright colours so I picked a selection of my watercolor markers and coloured the flowers and leaves in and blended the ink with a paintbrush and water.  I did the same for the background and once I was happy with the overall look, I left it to dry.

I die cut a 'hello' from some gold card & heat embossed a sentiment onto some black smooth card.  A few sequins by Lucy's Things and some foam tape on the back of the top layer and then I adhered it to some of my favourite card for card bases, White Hammered card.
I know I am by no means an expert with these pens but I keep looking at the card and thinking how much I really like it.  Even my husband commented on  it and he very rarely ventures into my craft room!

I'm inspired to keep on experimenting!!
