Monthly Challenge - Seven Hills Crafts

Hi there.  I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Today's card is one I am entering for this month's challenge over at Seven Hills Crafts, a shop where I keep getting lured and tempted to buy more crafty stash!!

The challenge was to choose at least 3 colours from the following palettes...

Seven Hills Crafts Monthly Challenge - April

I chose the first palette and used varying shades of blues.  So here is my card....

My Favorite Things - Build-able Bouquet

I have used Build-able Bouquet by MFT and the matching dies and coloured it all using Copic Markers.

TIP:  I did find that it makes it easier when using this set to line up the stamp on the printed sheet that comes in the pack and then once it is lined up, press your acrylic block on top.  That way when you come to die cut them, the stems will be the right shape.  I only discovered this after I had coloured in some of the stamps and then found that the stems didn't line up with the dies!!!

Seven Hills Monthly Craft Challenge - MFT Build-able Bouquet

I die cut the 'you' on white cardstock 3 times and coloured one of the layers with Copics.  I glued all 3 layers together to give it a dimensional look and then heat embossed the 'Happy Birthday to' sentiment which is from MFT Ewe Are The Best.  A few sequins and the card was then adhered to the card base using double sided foam tape.

I can't believe how much mess I have made just to make one card!!!!!  Am I the only one who does this?  I visit Jennifer McGuire's blog a lot for inspiration and I often wonder if she makes a mess of her beautiful craft room because it always looks so immaculate in her videos.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.
