Happy Hedgehogs

I have been busy decorating our utility room all weekend, and today, on the hottest day of the year, I did all the gloss work on the wood, including our front door.  I did paint our front door a couple of weeks ago with what was supposed to be 'high gloss' paint and I was hoping it would have a shine on it like No. 10 Downing Street....but it was more matte than gloss!!  But it's looking very glossy now after today's coat!
Anyway, I did pop in out of the heat to make this card using Clearly Besotted 'Happy Hugs' but this time I used the hedgehogs instead of those cute bears.

I even managed to snap a shot out in the garden (under the parasol) as the sun picks up the gold embossing powder on the trees which are again by Clearly Besotted 'Birch Background'.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set as the hedgehogs and is heat embossed in white and the banner is cut using a die I picked up in the sale at CB called Long Flag Die.
I've now got to go and pick off the dead flies that landed on my newly painted front door whilst it was wet!!

  1. Your card certainly has a high gloss, I love it and the cute hedgehogs.

I read somewhere that No 10 door has got at least 20 layers of paint to get the high gloss it has!!! Hope the flies left your door alone, I'm sure it looks fabulous.

    1. A few flies and a money spider got stuck on the paint :-( and as for doing 20 coats....hmmm.. think I'll stick at 3!! x

I love to get comments on my blog so thank you for taking the time to say hello! Wendy x
