House Mouse - Cake

I decided to use a stamp that I haven't used before by House Mouse Designs (Joanna Sheen) called 'Cake'.  I love the little mice in these designs but for some reason I always find them hard to colour so I had a go at colouring one of the smaller stamps in this set.

I can remember buying this stamp along with a few other House Mouse Designs when I went to the NEC Craft Fair for the first time ever with my mum.  That was a few years ago and it has sat in a box waiting to be used.  I thought at first he was blowing up a balloon but I think it's bubble gum?

The sentiment is from a Peel-off that I also bought when I was with my mum when we visited her favourite craft shop in Wantage which is now sadly closed.  That was a good few year's ago also!!

I want to enter this card into two challenges this week.  The first one is the Simply Less is More Challenge Week #291 where the Recipe this week is:

Sticker, Sticky Label or Peel-Off

I have only recently discovered this challenge and the very sweet and funny Darnell J Knauss who hosts the challenge over on her blog.

  1. This is so pretty Wendy! I love the stitched border effect, and you've stuck that peel off really neatly. I always get tangled with the delicate ones! Thanks for sharing this lovely card at Less is More :)

  3. lovely colouring! Was the peel off sticker already curved or were you super clever and curved it yourself? I have seen on the web that people do curve them, I'm rubbish at it - any tips?

    1. No....I am afraid I wasn't that clever - it was already curved ;-) It was a bit of a pain to rub on though as it was so old!! I'm not sure how you would make a straight rub on curved either. x
