I am entering another one layer card for the challenge today over at Simply Less is More and the theme is:
BOOKS/LITERATURE
I have used a digital stamp from Sassy Cheryl called 'A Good Read Maddie'
I used my Copics to colour in the stamp and without thinking I die cut it out using WPlus9 Sunshine Layers. Then it struck me that I had to make a ONE layer card and a lot of 'bothers', 'oh poo' (and worse) came out of my mouth!!!
Anyway - I then realised I could attach it to another die cut if I made it slightly larger and folded over a small portion at the top to make a tab. Voila! Problem solved and yet another card making crisis averted.
Notice I have photographed it with a slight side view so that you can see it really is a one layer card!
This card making process was 'not soothing to the soul' although I always find colouring in very relaxing.
Thank you for visiting my blog.

Super card Wendy, and what a fab way of saving it! You did make me laugh with your description though - I think my language would have been similar! It's so frustrating when something goes wrong. Luckily your end result is gorgeous, so pretty and I just love the scallop edge to the card. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Less is More :)
ReplyDeleteTerrific card. Your colors are bright and cheerful, just perfect for the challenge. Thanks for sharing at Less is More!
ReplyDeleteA lovely card. Nicely colored. Have a nice day, Ankie
ReplyDeleteLove your vibrant colouring against the white and what a fantastic save! I've got a little tub here of half made cards that I need to evolve into something else haha Perfect stamp for our challenge too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us.
