Hello I am back with a card today for a challenge. I haven't entered any challenges recently due to lack of time and also because it sometimes takes my ageing brain a while before I get an idea of what I can make!!
But Less is More are celebrating their 6th Birthday and this week's challenge is to use 3 adjacent colours on a colour wheel (see below) so I thought I would enter.
I chose to use orange, yellow and green.
I first cut a piece of card that was 4.25" x 5.5" and lightly drew a pencil line about 3/4" away from the edge. I then stamped my flowers and leaves which are from a set by Happy Little Stampers called Doodled Flowers.
Once I had coloured them in, I fussy cut around them up to the pencil line so that they would hang over the edge of the card.
I admit I'm not great at fussy cutting. I do try turning my paper rather than the scissors and this does help a lot. I think I just need to practice more!
I then ran the card front through my Big Shot to emboss some stitch lines using MFT Homespun Stitch Lines dies and also on the green card base. I then adhered the white card using foam tape to the card base and added a sentiment which was heat embossed onto black card. This again was from the Doodled Flowers stamps.
I then fussy cut out another flower and popped it up over the top flower using foam dimensionals and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Apple Green and White. I added (can't help it) my usual white spots with a Signo Uni-ball pen.
