Mother's Day Card

Hello I am back today with a Mother's Day card.  My mum died last year and as I have mentioned before it was her that gave me a love of card making and crafting so with my mum in mind I made this card for my lovely Mother-in-Law.
Mother's Day card made using Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers
This card layout was inspired by the very talented Lydia Evans.  I watched one of her You Tube videos where she made a similar card using stamps by Altenew and so I wanted to CASe her card using Lawn Fawn's Fab Flowers.
My collection of Lawn Fawn inks is slowly growing so I used these today and I love how they have so many colours that you can use to layer up stamps.  I REALLY love these inks and you don't really need a MISTI tool as they stamp so well the first time.

I have to admit that I have changed this card.  I initially used the cut out part which had the missing part of the flowers stamped on it and put the sentiment over the top.  When I asked my husbean if he liked the card he said he couldn't really read the sentiment as it was drowned out by the flowers.  I don't usually listen to husbean when it comes to card design but on this occasion I agreed with him so I cut another piece of plain white card and stamped the sentiment again.
He's right - it looks much better!!
I stamped the butterflies in the same set - aren't they gorgeous?  I am going to make a butterfly card using just these when I get the time.  I used glittery sparkle embossing powder on one of the butterflies and popped it up on foam tape.
I hope my MIL likes it.

Simon Says Stamp

I am entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which this week is 'Layering'.
