Up In The Air Again..

Hello there.  I hope you are enjoying your Easter Bank Holiday weekend.  I have got a card for you today that I made over the course of a few evenings...sometimes life gets in the way of my important crafting time!

My Favorite Things Up In The Air stamps

I started by using Distress Inks & my Clarity Brushes to create the background.  I then stamped the images onto some card and coloured them using my Zigs.  I used some pastel shades to match the background.

As the die from the small balloons left a piece of card in between the strings, I cut the basket off the balloons and stamped the image onto the background first and then stuck the balloon and basket down so that the background showed through...does that make sense?

Up In The Air stamps by MFT used to make a soft , pastel birthday card

I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set and added a frame before popping up the large balloon on foam dimensionals.

I love using bright colours on my cards but I thought I would go for the softer pastels this time and I am really pleased with how it turned out.

I am guesting over at the Tag You're It Challenge tomorrow - the blog post goes up at 2pm UK time and 9am EST time so please hop on over and have a go at entering - tag challenges are great fun!!
