Christening Card

We were away this weekend at a family christening for which I had to make a card.  I didn't really have anything suitable in my crafting stash so I went to the internet for inspiration and found a laser cut card that I liked.   I partly copied the card I had seen and created my own cut file with my Silhouette Cameo.

I wasn't sure how well the Cameo would cut some of the intricate smaller pieces but I thought it did a really good job.  I made the card 5"x7" which made it easier to cut.
Over the years that I have had my Cameo, I have found that some card doesn't cut as well as others but I always get really good results with Linen and Hammered card from Papermilldirect especially with intricate cuts so that is my go to card.  Links below.

I enjoyed creating this card so much that I am going to have a go at some more it too early for Christmas cards?!!!!!

  2. Very lovely and personal. Well done for finding the inspiration!

  3. So pretty and extra special with it being personalized. It is never too early for Christmas cards. I make them year round. That way when Christmas season arrives I already have a stash so I only have to make a few more to have them done.

  4. A Beautiful treasure for the baby, a real heirloom, Love it. Cameo did well, so did you designing it.

  5. Very nice. This card honors the special day for babies, parents and godparents.

I love to get comments on my blog so thank you for taking the time to say hello! Wendy x
